Coming together for their 17th combined annual meeting, February 18-21, 2020 in San Antonio, TX, the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA), Asphalt Recycling & Reclaiming Association (ARRA), and International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA) are gearing up for another successful meeting.
Set to keynote the meeting is former Mayor of Oklahoma City, Mick Cornett. Cornett recently completed a successful 14-year run as Oklahoma City’s first four-term Mayor and is currently running for Governor. Cornett has been recognized by Newsweek as one of the “Five Most Innovative Mayors in the United States;” named “2010 Public Official of the Year” by Governing; and Politico included him on its Politico 50 list of “Thinkers, Doers, and Visionaries Transforming American Politics in 2015.” With his extensive background, Cornett will be opening the General Session on Wednesday focusing on infrastructure and sustainability. Additionally, Vario Consulting will be keynoting the Awards Breakfast with an update on Roadresource.org.
Program Chairs Bob Huitt, Russell Standard Corp., Jonathan Pease, Rock Solid Stabilization, and Chuck Ingram, Slurry Pavers, Inc. have been working hard to create a successful program. After the success of the Industry Panel, industry association leaders will be back for another panel discussion. In addition, technical sessions for AEMA, ARRA, and ISSA are all planned.
AEMA, ARRA, and ISSA are excited to offer additional activities to attendees who might not be interested in golfing on Thursday afternoon.
