AEMA, ARRA, & ISSA Scheduled Meetings for 2020


ISSA Slurry Systems Workshop:
The Slurry Systems Workshop, held in Las Vegas, January 20-23, 2020 is a workshop course offering a challenging and informative program on slurry seal, micro surfacing, chip seals and crack treatments with “hands-on” operation demonstrations and workshop-type discussions. Highly qualified Pavement Preservation Specialists will cover topics on the above listed processes, including materials and equipment, specifications, hand mixes, calibration, quality control, and inspection. Attendees will also be able to view state of the art slurry, micro surfacing, chip seal and crack treatment equipment, independent of the paving demonstrations. Registration is now open.

 

AEMA ISAET ’20:
Organized under the auspices of the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association and the International Bitumen Emulsion Federation, this symposium, spawned by the "First World Congress on Emulsions" held in Paris, France, in 1993, will be the seventh in a series of symposia dedicated to the international asphalt emulsion industry. The symposium will embrace research and practice with respect to manufacturing, use, and performance of asphalt emulsions. The 2020 conference will provide a forum for discussion of leading research work, encourage presentation of case studies demonstrating the implementation of research into practice, and foster discussion on producing better performing and cost-effective asphalt emulsions. ISAET ’20 will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Washington, D.C., October 21-23, 2020. Registration is set to open in the spring.

ARRA 2020 Semi-Annual Meeting:
After achieving record-breaking numbers at the 2019 ARRA Semi-Annual Meeting, the Semi-Annual Meeting heads back east to Charleston, SC, October 26-29, 2020. ARRA’s Semi-Annual Meetings are developed­ “by ARRA, for ARRA” helping members improve their businesses and their bottom-lines by being more efficient, safer and by being comfortable with technology and embracing trends before others see it coming. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with industry and agency personnel and do the important work of ARRA’s discipline committees.  The program has been developed to ensure there is ample time for industry interactions and networking. Please not only mark these dates down in your calendar, but get these dates into the calendars of your co-workers, colleagues, clients and reach out and invite new contacts to attend this very affordable, useful and significant event that will benefit your businesses.
