Acceptance of the finished scrub seal is as follows:
For emulsion, acceptance is based on the sampling and testing for compliance with the requirements for the quality characteristics specified.
For aggregate, acceptance is based on the sampling and testing for compliance with the requirements for the quality characteristics specified.
The following will be based on visual inspection or by other method specified after construction:
Uniform surface texture
Raveling or aggregate loss
Flushing
Streaking
Acceptance should not apply to identified areas where the existing surfacing, prior to application of scrub seal, contained defective areas as determined by the owner and the contractor.
Defective areas could be the following: excessive rutting or flushing
